Suisse Sport Alpine Adult Mummy Double Layer Sleeping Bag 33 x 24 x 84 inches
Cool Weather Mummy Sleeping Bag
Stay extra-warm on high-altitude camping trips with the Suisse Sport Alpine double-layer sleeping bag.

The Alpine is equipped with 3 pounds of Hollowblend MicroTekk Z1 fill, a cozy synthetic insulation that keeps you warm at temperatures as low as 5 degrees F. Comfort range is from 5-40 degrees depending on other variables such as wind, no tent, light clothing and no ground cover.  The fill makes this bag a great choice for chilly fall or winter camping, or for alpine hiking trips when you're preparing an ascent. The bag also includes a double-layer offset quilt construction that keeps the fill from bunching up, eliminating cold spots as you sleep. And to make sure the wind doesn't sneak in while you sleep, Suisse Sport added a drawstring hood and draft tube.
Other features include a soft polyester lining for added comfort, Comes with a handy light compression sack for transport for ultra compact backpacking you will need a heavy compression sack.   The Alpine Mummy Style Sleeping bag measures 84 by 24 by 33 inches (W x H x D) idea for most people up to 6’2” tall and weighs 5 pounds fully packed and is machine washable.

With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Big enough for me
I had ordered this sleeping bag, based on the fact I had gotten my son the smaller/compact Suisse Sport bag and it worked real well for him. This one, is equally well-made and it fits me better than the compact one (I can fit in it, but I look like Dracula in his coffin). The larger one here, I actually have some wiggle room. If I had any complaint about it at all, I wish the hood drawstring closed further down. It seems the material bunches up before it can fully cinch shut.

For those wondering if they'll fit, I'm 5'10" and 230 lbs, with a 46" chest. I have plenty of leg room as well.

A suggestion please...
How about this, people...when you write a review that talks about how you slept freezing cold using this sleeping bag in 25-30 degree weather, how about you let the rest of us know whether you were sleeping in the open? or using a tent? a bivy? a sleeping pad or not? etc., etc., etc. How are the rest of us supposed to make an informed decision based off of complaints with no details?! I was unsure about purchasing this bag based on some of your reviews, but I got it off of craigslist for a really great deal. I have taken it backpacking, I frequently use it with a Thermarest Trail Scout pad and a Backside T-7 bivy tent, and it has performed admirably. I have been very comfortable in temps down to about 10 degrees with it (haven't used it in colder temps yet--I think I would be all right to go a little cooler). But in combining it with a good quality pad and tent, you'll be just fine. Oh, I also wear long wicking underwear and clean, dry socks when in the bag. Also, FYI I am 6'3"...
Decent bag, but temp rating of 0 to +5 F too optomistic
I used this bag while camping in Prescott, Arizona the first weekend in May 2010, which was unseasonably cold and windy with the overnight temperature reaching just below freezing. I had a good quality Thermarest pad under the bag inside a Kelty Riverbend 2 Webforce tent. The wind was moderate, but steady and moved through the tent. The bag performed well until the temps dropped in the early morning. At that point I could feel a moderate loss of heat from the bag around my torso as I shifted my sleeping position to my side, making me wish I'd brought my mil-surplus wool blanket. Also, I could feel the wind sometimes coming through the zipper. The drawstring on the hood area of the bag performed great, allowing me to cinch the opening down to stop all of the wind. I am 5'7" and average build, and find the width of this bag more roomy that my North Face Blue Kazoo (down), but not as warm. I will continue to use this bag, but with a cover blanket, and certainly not if I expect temps to...
