Guide Gear minus 30 sleeping bag
Purchased 2 GG minus 30 canvas sleeping bags duck brown, Nov 2011 on Amazon. They really are made of canvas at this time. took 1.5 to 2.0 wks to deliver to CA, that worked for me. Ea. bag wt ~14lbs they roll up "bed roll" style, tag says wash in lg laundry mat front load washer and lg dryer, I did that it worked fine smells clean. Tag states-do not dry clean. Stitching held up in washing machine. Zipper works great has a tendancy to catch the inner lining when zipped, this is common with all bags. Bag opens by unzipping 2 of the 3 sides & can be used like a lg blanket. This isn't a hiking bag to bulky & heavy but great for tent or RV camping. I used mine sleeping in an RV 1.5 wks, we had some heat but got into the upper +30s inside - outside temp who knows maybe +5 degree. Bags kept us warm no complaints about chills, was able to use the top flap draw sting to sorta seal to top of the bag & retain body heat in the bag. A good value
I really like this sleeping bag. It's definitely the warmest bag I've ever slept in. Be aware that it's very bulky, heavy, and cumbersome. But its not meant to be a trail sleeping bag. I wouldn't carry this thing more than a couple miles. It probably weighs about 15 lbs altogether.
